Division Chief

Division of Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation

The Department of Healthcare Policy & Research at Weill Cornell Medicine seeks a dynamic chief for our new Division of Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation.

The Division will focus in a multi-disciplinary manner on the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient-centered clinical and population health innovations. Innovations should focus on improving the value of healthcare delivery. For example, innovations might focus on discrete quality improvement/patient safety initiatives such as clinical decision support, on improving care coordination such as reducing readmissions and ambulatory care sensitive admissions, and/or on improving population health through an accountable care organization.

The selected chief, who will be an accomplished academic physician executive with exemplary leadership experience, will join the leadership team of a transformative department at Weill Cornell Medicine. The ideal candidate will be skilled at managing in a complex academic enterprise, has a strong vision for growth, consistently prioritizes clinical quality, and appreciates the importance of collegial decision-making in an interdisciplinary structure. He or she will have an outstanding record of introducing innovations, obtaining funding, and publishing research results.

Clinical knowledge is required. Additional training in quality improvement, operations research, engineering, health information technology, or a related field is desirable. Candidates should be associate or full professors and have an outstanding record of introducing innovations, obtaining funding, and publishing research results. The ideal candidate will have the skills to collaborate productively with leaders in Weill Cornell Medical College, the Weill Cornell Physicians Organization, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Opportunities will be available to collaborate with faculty at Cornell University as well as at the new Cornell Tech campus.

Those interested in applying should include a letter of interest and résumé or CV to Zachary Goodman, senior administrative specialist, at zag2003@med.cornell.edu.
